How Per-Foot Pricing Works
Many people believe RV detailing is priced the same way as car detailing, according to the vehicle tier. However, due to the wide range of RV sizes, detailing is mainly priced per linear foot.
A detailing specialist measures your rig from rear bumper to front cap to find the length, then multiplies by the per-foot rate for the service you have chosen. This model works because a 21-foot Class B camper van requires very different labor, time, and products than a 35-foot Class A diesel pusher.
Price Ranges by Service Type
Here is what you can expect to pay for RV detailing in Castle Rock and Douglas County:
- Exterior Wash Only: $4 to $6 per linear foot. Includes full rinse, soap wash of frame, wheels, and windows. A mid-size RV runs $120 to $180 total.
- Wash and Wax: $10 to $30 per linear foot. Adds a wax coat for UV protection. Total for a 30-foot rig can reach $900 or more.
- Interior Detailing: $10 to $25 per linear foot. Covers vacuuming, surface cleaning, bathroom and kitchen wipe-down, leather treatment, and deodorizing.
- Ceramic Coating: A premium service priced as a fixed package rather than per-foot. We use System X and Glidecoat coatings that last three to nine years.
- Full RV Detail: $25 to $75+ per linear foot. Combines exterior and interior for a comprehensive service. Total ranges from $500 for small RVs to $2,500+ for large Class A motorhomes.
What Affects Your RV Detailing Quote
RV Size and Class: A 32-foot Class A motorhome always costs more than a 24-foot Class B camper van, even at the same per-foot rate, simply because of surface area.
Vehicle Condition: An RV that has been on a long trip and stored outdoors will require more than a simple wash. Contaminants such as grime, algae stains, and road tar increase prep time significantly.
Number of Services: Bundled packages offer better per-foot value than individual services. If you need both interior and exterior work, a combined package is almost always the better deal.
Mobile vs Shop: Mobile detailing costs slightly more because we bring specialized equipment to your location in Elizabeth, Castle Rock, or wherever your RV is parked.

How to Get an Accurate Quote
The best way to get an accurate quote is to contact an experienced detailer who will assess your RV condition and the packages you need. At Spruce Detailing, we provide detailed written quotes so you know exactly what you are paying for before any work begins.
Getting quotes from multiple providers helps you compare apples to apples. Just make sure you are comparing the same scope of work — a $500 quote that skips the roof is not the same as a $700 quote that includes everything.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is per-foot RV detailing pricing?
Per-foot pricing means the detailer measures your RV from rear bumper to front cap, then multiplies the length by a rate for the service chosen. This scales pricing fairly based on your RV size.
How much does a full RV detail cost?
A full exterior and interior detail typically costs $25 to $75+ per linear foot. For a mid-size RV around 28 feet, expect $700 to $2,100 depending on condition and services included.
Does RV detailing include the roof?
Not always. Roof cleaning is often an add-on service because of the safety equipment and specialized products required. Always confirm with your detailer whether the roof is included in the quote.
How often should I detail my RV?
We recommend a full detail at least once a year, with wash and wax services every three to four months if the RV is stored outdoors. Colorado UV accelerates oxidation, so regular protection is important.
