Space Requirements
The most common question we get from RV owners: "Can you actually do this at my house?" The answer is almost always yes, but there are a few things we need.
Minimum space around the RV:
- We need to walk around the entire rig with equipment — roughly 3-4 feet of clearance on all accessible sides
- We don't need to access both sides simultaneously, so a driveway with a fence on one side works if we can reach that side from front and back
- For roof work, we need room to set up a ladder safely — typically 4-5 feet of clearance at the point where we're accessing the roof
Driveway surface:
- Concrete or asphalt driveways are ideal
- Gravel works but adds complexity — we may need to adjust our approach to prevent kicking up rocks that could scratch the finish
- Dirt or grass: possible for a wash, but not ideal for full detail work where we need clean footing and surfaces for equipment
Most homes in Castle Rock and the surrounding Douglas County communities have driveways that work perfectly. If you're in a neighborhood with an HOA, check your rules about RV parking duration — some HOAs have 24-48 hour limits on RV driveway parking, so we plan the detail within that window.
Not sure if your space works? Send us a photo of where the RV is parked when you request a quote. We'll tell you straight if there are any issues.

Water and Power (What We Bring vs What You Provide)
We're a mobile detailing operation, which means we come equipped. Here's exactly what we bring and what we need from you:
What we bring:
- Full water supply — we carry our own water tanks so we're not dependent on your hose (though it helps)
- Generator or battery power for all equipment — polishers, extractors, vacuums, lighting
- All chemicals, compounds, waxes, and coatings
- Wash equipment, brushes, towels, and applicators
- Waste water containment when required by local regulations
What helps from your end:
- Water access (helpful but not required) — if you have an outdoor spigot, it saves us time refilling our tanks. If you don't, we bring enough water for the full job
- Power outlet (helpful for extended jobs) — our equipment runs on battery and generator, but access to a 110V outlet is a nice backup for all-day jobs like full details with ceramic coating
- Clear driveway — move bikes, trash cans, and any items that might be in the way before we arrive
That's it. You don't need to be home for the entire detail if you'd rather not wait around. We'll coordinate access and check-in times when we schedule.
RV Park and Storage Lot Service
Not every RV owner has their rig at home. Plenty of our clients store at RV parks, storage facilities, and private lots throughout Douglas County. We detail at those locations regularly.
RV parks:
- We work at RV parks throughout the Castle Rock and Elizabeth area
- Most parks allow mobile detailing as long as we follow their rules about water runoff and noise hours
- We bring our own water and waste containment, which satisfies most park management requirements
- If you're a full-timer, we'll work around your schedule so you're not displaced during the detail
Storage lots:
- Many storage facilities allow on-site detailing with prior arrangement
- We may need you to contact the facility ahead of time to authorize our access
- Space can be tighter at storage lots — we'll work with whatever clearance is available
- If the lot doesn't have water access, no problem — we bring everything we need
Private property and ranches:
- If your RV is stored on your property in Elizabeth, Franktown, or the rural parts of Douglas County, we come to you
- We're used to working on properties with gravel driveways, well water, and limited power — it's a normal part of mobile detailing in this area

What If Your Driveway Won't Work?
Sometimes a driveway genuinely doesn't work. Maybe there's not enough clearance, or the HOA won't allow RV parking long enough for a detail, or the terrain makes safe work difficult. Here are your options:
- Meet at your storage lot — if your RV is stored somewhere with more space, we can meet you there. This is the most common alternative
- Use a friend or family member's property — if someone nearby has a bigger driveway or more open space, we'll come there
- Temporary parking — some churches, businesses, and community lots allow temporary parking for service work. We can help you identify options if needed
- We do what we can on-site — if the driveway works for a wash but not a full detail, we'll do the wash and wax at your place and schedule more involved work at a location with better access
We want to make this work for you. When you reach out for a quote, tell us about your situation and we'll figure out the best approach together. We've detailed RVs in driveways, at storage facilities, at campgrounds, on ranches, and in parking lots across Douglas County. Very few situations are dealbreakers.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you need a water hookup for mobile RV detailing?
No. We carry our own water supply in onboard tanks. Having access to an outdoor spigot is helpful and saves us time, but it's not required. We bring everything we need to complete the job without any hookups from your property.
Will mobile detailing damage my driveway?
No. We use RV-safe, biodegradable products and manage water runoff carefully. Our equipment doesn't leak fluids or damage surfaces. If your driveway is sealed concrete or asphalt, you won't notice any impact. On gravel, we take extra precautions to contain water and products.
How long should I leave my RV in the driveway for a detail?
A basic wash takes 1-2 hours. A wash and wax takes 3-4 hours. A full interior and exterior detail takes 5-8+ hours depending on size and condition. If your HOA limits RV driveway time, let us know and we'll plan the service to fit within that window.
